Native Advertising – Last Week Tonight

After leaving The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, John Oliver has captured the attention of the entire nation with his new show Last Week Tonight on HBO. Due to the freedom that HBO has, John has set loose on all things nonsense. In this episode, John has touched a subject which we kinda have a little to do with.

Advertising, which pays the bills for many by the way, is the subject of scorn here on John’s monologue. While it helps boost many companies recognition and sales, it has also been taken too far by many and in many places. But why would advertising be such a subject of scorn? It is because advertising can sometimes be so deceptive¬†and distasteful that audiences come to detest even the idea of it.
